Duties • Generate new mortgage loan opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and referral partnerships • Evaluate borrower financials by conducting credit analysis and assessing income, assets, and liabilities • Originate loan applications by guiding clients through the loan process from initial consultation to closing • Negotiate terms with clients and third-party partners to secure favorable loan conditions while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements • Collaborate with underwriters, processors, escrow officers, and other team members to ensure smooth loan processing and timely closings • Maintain thorough documentation of all transactions using mortgage servicing software such as Quicken or other financial software tools • Stay updated on FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, banking regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimal loan structuring Requirements • Proven experience as a mortgage loan officer or in financial sales within the mortgage or banking industry • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and close deals effectively • Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, Fair Housing laws, and mortgage servicing procedures • Proficiency in Quicken, accounting software, financial software, and basic math including 10-key typing skills • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and client satisfaction • Ability to analyze credit reports and perform credit analysis accurately • Familiarity with loan origination systems, underwriting processes, loan processing steps, and escrow procedures • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for contract management and compliance documentation This role offers an energetic environment where your sales expertise can flourish!
