ABA Behavior Technician - Part Time

About the position Butterfly Effects is seeking dedicated Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians, both entry-level and experienced, to directly assist children with autism in honing vital skills like communication, social interaction, and self-care. This role involves collaborating with families to execute ABA based behavior intervention plans. This is a permanent part-time position requiring a 6-7 month availability commitment, with sessions held after school between 3 and 7pm on weekdays. The role offers competitive compensation, with opportunities for career growth and educational support to become an RBT or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. Responsibilities • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA). • Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily. • Manages challenging behaviors. • Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients. • Assist clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills. • Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavioral analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients. • Functions as an active member of the treatment team. • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner through our on-line database. • Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills. • Maintains confidentiality of client information. • Follows BE policies and procedures. Requirements • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. • Passion for Children: A genuine love for working with children. • Positive Attitude: Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families. • Continuous Learning: Interest in ongoing development. • Transportation: Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, & Auto insurance with name listed. • Devices: Must have a Tablet or Laptop computer to use during sessions (not just a smart phone) • Background: Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check. Nice-to-haves • Prior experience with children is advantageous. • RBT Certified Benefits • Competitive Compensation: Earn $19.00 - $23.00 hourly, based on your experience and certifications. • RBT Certified?
