Accountant

The Alinea Group is a company passionate about innovation in culinary arts, service, and business operations. They are seeking a full-time staff accountant to join their Accounting team, responsible for maintaining records, performing bookkeeping tasks, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sales Reconciliation: Enter and track daily sales data for all restaurant entities, reconciling against POS systems and reservation platforms
• General Ledger Management: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and maintain the general ledger to ensure data integrity
• Month-End Close: Assist with month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures, ensuring deadlines are met
• Process Improvement: Identify and help implement process improvements and cost-saving efficiencies
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed
• Uphold high standards of professionalism and communication
• Work under the guidance of business team leadership
• Other duties as assigned by management

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1 to 3 years of progressive accounting experience in a professional setting
• Intermediate or higher proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and basic accounting software (QuickBooks or equivalent)
• Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information
