Description
Adjunct Faculty within the College of Professional Studies (CPS) are critical to the success of UNE's online programs. Faculty members in CPS facilitate the learning process for online students through timely and effective instruction and communication. Instructors also serve as mentors, sharing their experience to guide students and help them achieve their educational and professional goals.
Faculty support student retention by creating a positive educational environment that enables students to derive maximum benefit from their program of study. Instructors receive supervision, collaboration, and guidance from the UNE Online Science Prerequisites for the Health Professions (SPHP) Program.

Responsibilities
• Providing expert and graduate level knowledge in Anatomy & Physiology
• Guiding students through their educational experience while upholding and adhering to the CPS commitment to student success
• Providing timely response to student inquiries, within 24 hours
• Facilitating class instruction by engaging in the online course portal a minimum of 5 times per week
• Hosting a minimum of one hour of virtual office hours per week
• Having excellent collaborative and communication skills
• Willingness to analyze best practices in online Anatomy & Physiology education
Qualifications
• Experience teaching online in an educational setting, with demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and assessment, and a passion for teaching Anatomy & Physiology
• Master's degree in Anatomy & Physiology (or a related field); PhD preferred
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology I
• Strong desire to motivate and support students in academic and professional settings
• Expertise in online teaching, with a willingness to learn and apply new technologies in education
• Experience using the Brightspace/D2L learning management system preferred
