Assistant Controller (Fully Remote Anywhere in the U.S.)

About the Role: As our Assistant Controller, your mission is to provide financial and accounting support to our organization in an accurate and efficient manner. You will be both hands-on and strategic in this role. The Ideal Candidate: • CPA • Proficient in QuickBooks Online • Previous experience as an Assistant Controller • Demonstrates integrity and trustworthiness • Shows initiative and takes ownership • Achievement-focused, detail-oriented, self-starter • Organized, efficient, and accurate Responsibilities: • Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes (accruals, allocations, ) • Prepare financial • Maintain GL • Perform A/R & A/P • Reconcile bank and credit card • Prepare 1099-MISC forms on annual • Participate in Financial Planning, Cash Flow Management, and External Financial Audits. • Support Budgeting, Payroll, and Contract Administration. • Collaborate on corporate tax • Assist with financial and cost control process • Help with purchase accounting, related acquisition accounting, valuation issues, and due diligence, as needed. • Properly utilize knowledge of S. GAAP/ Accounting Standards Codification (ASC). • Maintain accounting procedures, analyzing current procedures and suggesting changes where needed. • Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations. • Complete other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Certified Public Accountant designation • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field • Previous experience as an Assistant Controller or equivalent position • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and MS Office Suite • Ability to be hands-on and strategic, helping wherever necessary in a small business • Exceptional integrity and maintenance of confidential and sensitive information • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Strong detail orientation, organization, follow-through, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, flexibly shifting focus and priority according to business needs • Ability to build relationships, cultivate trust, and foster partnerships with all levels internally and externally • Positive "can-do" attitude and demeanor • Resourceful and proactive problem-solver • Self-motivated, results-oriented self-starter able to work efficiently from home Preferred Skills & Qualifications: • SaaS industry experience • Experience automating tasks and systems Why Become and Intellectual? • Competitive salary and outstanding benefits package • Opportunities for career growth and professional development • Collaborative and supportive work environment • Fully remote work with flexible hours Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
