Client is a virtual instrument company looking for a detail-oriented audio technician to handle sample editing tasks on an ongoing basis. You'll use proprietary editing tools following step-by-step SOPs with screenshots and video guides.
What you'll do:
- Extract, splice, and organize audio samples from raw multichannel recordings
- Review auto-detected hitpoints, pitch corrections, and sample boundaries — verify and adjust where needed
- Work with waveforms, spectrograms, and MIDI data in our custom tools
- Follow precise folder structures and naming conventions
- Upload processed files to our cloud project folders
What we need from you:
- Experience working with audio at a technical level (waveforms, spectrograms, pitch analysis)
- Comfortable in a DAW-style environment (any DAW — Pro Tools, Reaper, Logic, Ableton, etc.)
- Ability to follow detailed written and video SOPs precisely
- Strong attention to detail — good ears for pitch accuracy and timing precision matter
- Fast internet, computer with strong processing power/speeds, responsive communication, fast turnaround
- Available for 2-3 hours/week initially, with potential to grow significantly as workload increases
- Not required: Kontakt, music composition, sound design, or programming skills.
