ABOUT GRASS FED
Grass Fed runs cold email campaigns for 100+ real estate agents across the United States. Our model is straightforward: we pull homeowner lists based on simple criteria and get our clients' messages in front of the right people. We're not building complex B2B enrichment stacks or running multi-channel sequences. We do one thing — cold email — and we do it at scale.
As we've grown, campaign health has become the bottleneck. We need someone who can own the technical side of deliverability, build systems that keep our inbox inventory healthy, and make sure our clients' campaigns perform consistently over time.

READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING
We're B2C — not B2B.
Most cold email experience in the market comes from B2B environments. We operate in B2C. We're reaching homeowners at personal email addresses — Gmail, Yahoo, Comcast, iCloud — not business inboxes accustomed to sales outreach. Consumer spam filters are more aggressive. Complaint rates look different. The tolerance of the receiving inbox is different. This isn't a dealbreaker if your background is entirely B2B, but you need to be honest with yourself about what that shift requires. We're not looking for someone who'll be surprised by this.
One of our products has higher domain churn — by design.
One product we're scaling involves an outreach model where domain and inbox turnover is higher than what you'd find at a typical cold email agency. This is a known characteristic of the model, not a sign of a broken operation. The job is to make that churn predictable, manageable, and invisible to our clients. If your instinct is to nurse a single domain for 12 months, this will likely frustrate you. If you think in terms of pipeline — how many domains are warming, how many are active, how many are rotating out — you'll be right at home.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Domain & inbox inventory: registering, aging, warming, rotating, and retiring domains across 100+ client accounts; knowing when a domain is healthy, when it's coasting, and when it's done
- DNS & authentication: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC setup and ongoing monitoring across all sending domains; keeping everything aligned with current Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft enforcement standards
- Deliverability monitoring: tracking bounce rates, spam complaint rates, inbox placement, and blacklist status across all accounts; flagging issues before they compound
- API-driven bulk operations: using the Smartlead API to perform bulk actions across accounts — pausing flagged campaigns, swapping inboxes, pulling health snapshots, setting up webhook-based alerts — without clicking through dashboards one by one
- Warmup management: running structured warmup protocols for new domains and inboxes; knowing the right ramp speeds and reading signals from Google Postmaster Tools
- Systems & SOPs: building a simple, scalable operation with defined thresholds, monitoring dashboards, and clear processes so nothing depends on someone manually checking everything every day

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You need to be two things simultaneously, and the balance matters.
On the deliverability side — you can diagnose a degrading domain by reading bounce rates, spam complaint rates, and inbox placement together, not separately. You know the difference between a domain reputation problem and an IP reputation problem. You can set up a domain from scratch, design the warmup ramp, and know when it's ready to send cold. You read Google Postmaster Tools data and act on it without being told what it means.
On the technical side — you can write a basic Python or JavaScript script that calls a REST API without hand-holding. You're comfortable with webhooks for real-time monitoring. You can look at API documentation you've never seen before and figure it out yourself. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you need to be technical enough to build and maintain lightweight scripts independently.
Hard requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Smartlead or Instantly at agency scale (multiple clients, multiple domains)
- Comfortable calling REST APIs and working with webhooks
- Python or JavaScript — enough to write and maintain scripts without help
- Deep familiarity with SPF, DKIM, DMARC, domain warming, and inbox rotation
- Experience reading and acting on Google Postmaster Tools data
Strong bonus:
- Experience with n8n or Make for no-code automation
- Prior B2C cold email experience
- Background managing cold email infrastructure across 50+ simultaneous client accounts
---
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
- Not copywriting or strategy — we have that covered
- Not list building or data enrichment — our leads come from simple homeowner pulls
- Not GTM engineering — you're not building CRM pipelines or AI scoring systems from scratch
- Not a high-meeting role — you'll sync mainly with our Head of Client Success and report directly to the CEO

HOW WE WORK
Part-time, remote, flexible hours (10-15 hrs/week to start). We move fast and keep things simple. We're looking for a self-starter who can come in, assess the situation quickly, and make a real impact without needing to be walked through every step.

TO APPLY
Answer the two questions below please. We're not looking for polished responses — we're simply looking for how you actually think.
1. DELIVERABILITY INSTINCT
Describe your order of operations when diagnosing a poorly performing B2C campaign.
2. API COMFORT
Describe your experience with automation and API/Webhook development.
