This is a fully remote client-facing intake and consultation role. You will be the first attorney a prospective client meets. Your job is to listen, identify the right legal solution, explain it clearly, and convert qualified prospects into retained clients. This role suits someone who thrives on structured, high-volume client interaction and brings energy and empathy to every consultation. You will conduct 15-20 consultations per day by video and phone, primarily for consumer bankruptcy matters with occasional business cases. Cases you sign get handed off to our case management team, who handle the filing, schedules, 341 meetings, and post-filing work. Your focus stays on consults, conversions, and client experience. Work Setup Fully remote. All consultations are conducted by video and phone. You'll need a quiet, professional workspace, reliable high-speed internet, and a willingness to be on camera throughout your workday. The firm provides case management software (Glade), bar dues, and CLE. What You'll Do: Conduct 15-20 consultations per day by video and phone Assess each prospective client's legal situation and recommend the appropriate chapter (7, 13, 11, or Sub V) or non-bankruptcy alternative Explain the process, costs, timeline, and outcomes in plain language Build trust quickly and close retained clients at consultation when appropriate Document each consult in our case management system (Glade) Coordinate the handoff to the case team with clear notes and expectations Follow up with prospects who do not retain at the initial consult Hit weekly conversion and retainer benchmarks What We're Looking For: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Active Florida Bar membership in good standing Florida resident 1+ years of legal experience (bankruptcy experience preferred but not required we will train the right candidate) Strong communication skills, both spoken and written Comfort talking about money, debt, and financial hardship without judgment Consultative mindset you know the difference between informing a client and helping them decide High output capacity; this is a high-volume practice Reliable home office setup with professional video presence Self-motivated and disciplined in a remote environment Available during standard business hours, 8 AM - 7 PM ET (flex schedule) Bilingual English/Spanish is a significant plus Familiarity with Glade or similar case management software is a plus What we offer: Base salary plus performance bonus.
