Job Description:
• Provide confidential, non-judgmental and non-critical support to callers
• Take calls from callers around the state and provide phone support
• Participate in ongoing training and team-building
• Keep track of all data logs; enter data and present data in a professional manner
• Write reports as necessary to the Warmline Shift Leader or assigned Warmline Supervisor
Requirements:
• Identify as a person with lived experience of having big feelings
• Certificate for completion of the Core Training in Intentional Peer Support (IPS)
• Must become registered with the Oregon Health Authority Traditional Health Worker registry as a Peer Support Specialist during the first 6 months
• Working understanding of what the Warmline is and is not
• Minimal supervision
• Strong communication and team skills
• Fundamental awareness of cross-cultural issues, dual diagnosis/addictions, and effects of PTSD/trauma
• Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 181.536-181.537
• Pre-hire drug screening required
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats
