Looking for an experienced book designer for a single-title project. This is a print-ready book requiring interior layout, typesetting, and book cover.
We’re going for something similar to “Whiskey in a Teacup” by Reese Witherspoon — warm, elevated, and keepsake. Its a small book (9700 words) and mostly pictures.
Project Scope
•Interior layout and typesetting of the full manuscript
• Placement of supplied family photographs and background/decorative elements
• Custom book cover: front, spine, and back
• Print-ready for KDP and IngramSpark
What We Provide
• Final manuscript text. and a few recipes.
• All photos, background images, and visual assets to be used (easy lift, just need it layed out)
• Trim size, style direction, and design references
Deliverables
• Professionally designed, print-ready interior (PDF)
• Print-ready cover wrap: front, spine, back — correct bleed and spine width
• Editable source files (InDesign / working files)
• Two rounds of revisions included
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience with image-inclusive interior layout
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign (or comparable professional layout software)
• Working knowledge of KDP and IngramSpark print specifications
• Client-facing experience, we may bring you in to speak with the client and strategize on design and layout. (up to (3) 30 min meetings but its usually 1 or 2 meetings.
• Willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
• Collaborative, deadline-oriented, and responsive
