Overview We’re an early-stage team evaluating a product name for a SaaS offering and need an experienced specialist to help us assess risk and make a go/no-go decision. Scope of Work Evaluate an existing product name across: Trademark risk (high-level screening, not legal filing) SEO/search competitiveness and potential conflicts Brand distinctiveness within a crowded category Provide a clear recommendation: retain current name vs rebrand If rebrand is advised: Propose a set of strategically sound alternative names Conduct basic domain availability checks Perform light trademark screening (USPTO-level) Provide rationale for top recommendations Deliverables Concise report or deck including: Recommendation with supporting reasoning Key risks (legal, SEO, brand confusion) Alternative naming directions (if applicable) Notes on domain and trademark availability Ideal Experience Proven work in product or company naming (SaaS or tech preferred) Familiarity with trademark screening processes (USPTO, classes, etc.) Understanding of SEO implications in brand naming Ability to combine strategic thinking with practical execution Nice to Have Experience naming venture-backed startups Portfolio showing previous naming projects Notes Details about the product and current name will be shared after NDA Please include examples of prior naming or brand strategy work Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
