Position Overview The Career & Job Placement Specialist / Case Manager is a single, integrated role that combines job placement, career coaching, case management, and group training facilitation for young adults in underserved communities. In this position, you will prepare participants for meaningful employment, connect them to employer networks, and coordinate access to supportive services that promote placement and long-term retention. This role requires a startup mentality, someone ready to dive in, roll up their sleeves, and take on whatever is needed. You will independently manage a participant caseload, facilitate group training sessions using our proprietary technology platform, maintain accurate participant records in CalJOBS, and meet specific performance metrics within designated timeframes. This is a remote position. In-person training delivery is required at locations within Los Angeles and surrounding cities and counties. Key Responsibilities Participant Support & Career Development • Serve as the primary case manager for an assigned caseload, delivering consistent, individualized support throughout each participant’s employment journey • Provide one-on-one coaching on resume development, job readiness, application processes, and interview preparation • Facilitate group training sessions for cohorts of 15–30 participants using The Clover Agency’s technology platform, delivering engaging workshops on job readiness, soft skills, and career development • Support participant onboarding, eligibility screening, and enrollment processes • Assist participants with digital literacy, technology navigation, and accessing online tools and resources • Conduct regular check-ins and progress assessments to monitor advancement and proactively address barriers • Coordinate referrals to supportive services, including transportation assistance, emergency cash aid, work tools, and program fee support • Provide job retention follow-up and ongoing coaching post-placement Employer & Community Engagement • Actively place participants into quality jobs by leveraging existing employer relationships and cultivating new partnerships • Conduct ongoing employer outreach to expand job opportunities aligned with participant skills and career goals • Maintain regular contact with employers to track placement success and gather feedback • Meet or exceed monthly job placement targets and performance metrics • Coordinate with community-based organizations, educational institutions, and service providers to connect participants with resources that remove barriers to employment Program Operations & Data Management Participant Recruitment & Enrollment • Lead the recruitment and selection of program participants to meet grant-required enrollment and participation deliverables • Maintain accurate participant registration and eligibility documentation in CalJOBS to support enrollment tracking and funder reporting CalJOBS & Documentation • Create and maintain participant accounts in CalJOBS, ensuring accurate registration and eligibility documentation • Enter activity codes, case notes, measurable skill gains (MSG), credential attainment, and other required data promptly and accurately • Maintain detailed participant case files in CalJOBS and internal tracking systems, ensuring audit-ready standards at all times • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all data privacy requirements • Generate reports and track outcomes to monitor program effectiveness Performance & Continuous Improvement • Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for job placements, training completion rates, and participant engagement • Analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement • Support continuous improvement of training content, service delivery, and participant engagement strategies • Flexibly respond to changing program needs and take on additional responsibilities as they arise in a startup environment Qualifications Required • Must be based in Los Angeles County, California • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, workforce development, or related field;
