Job Details
We are seeking a Senior Clinical Information Systems Analyst to support a healthcare organization’s Ambulatory IT team in a remote contract role. This consultant will play a key role supporting clinical applications including Revenue Cycle and PowerChart while partnering closely with clinical staff, operational leadership, and vendors.
The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare IT experience with the ability to independently manage projects, troubleshoot complex application issues, support interfaces, and optimize workflows that improve operational efficiency across ambulatory environments.
Responsibilities:
Support, maintain, and optimize clinical applications including Revenue Cycle and PowerChart
Lead workflow analysis, system design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support efforts
Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and vendors
Support inbound and outbound interfaces and system integrations
Develop and execute detailed test plans for upgrades, enhancements, and implementations
Participate in project management initiatives and application deployment activities
Create and maintain system documentation, workflows, and user procedures
Train and support end users across clinical and operational departments
Identify system improvement opportunities and provide recommendations
Participate in on-call rotation supporting 24/7 healthcare operations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and additional experience considered
• 5+ years of healthcare IT experience required
• Strong experience supporting Revenue Cycle and PowerChart applications required
• Experience with implementation, testing, upgrades, and ongoing application support
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills within healthcare environments
• Experience supporting clinical workflows and ambulatory operations preferred
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
