The Collections Specialist I will assist the Collections Manager in managing collections and preserving Lendistry's loan portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulations and communicating effectively with clients regarding past due payments.
Responsibilities
- Works directly with Collections Manager in regards to past due loan payments
- Assist Collections Manager in collection of loans. Ensuring the collections actions are in compliance with specific program regulations
- Follows up with clients regarding past due payments, updated information required for modification and executed loan documents
- Assists in the Preparation of Modification and Servicing Memos
- Assist in resolving past due loans, including assisting clients with scheduling or processing past due payments
- Assist with establishing borrowers’ intentions regarding payoff at loan maturity or possible loan renewal/extension
- Communicate effectively with past due clients to determine eligibility and initiate workout plans
- Communicate effectively with past due clients to negotiate settlement plans and draft agreements
- Assist in preparation of Default Notices and Demand Letters
- Supports the closing department with regards to discrepancies noted in loan documents and approvals
- Prepare and manage reports
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective operation of the department and that help to make Lendistry the best place to work!
Skills
- High school diploma
- Strong analytical skills
- Customer service experience required
- Detailed oriented and strong organization skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must work effectively with other staff members and work well in a busy environment
- Demonstrate Assertiveness and confidence
- Credit experience preferred
- Previous collection experience preferred
