Under the direction of the CVS Weigh Station Systems Operations Manager, with minimal supervision, this position will oversee and perform duties directly related to the effective and efficient operation of the CVS office and advance WSDOT's mission by collecting, summarizing and validating data used by the CVS office and other stakeholders. New technology at the weigh stations requires this position to provide transportation study reports to CVS management that are shared with external partners for resource allocation. The CVS Data Specialist will work with the IT web application developer to write queries for customized reports used for data evaluation. The successful candidate in this unique position must understand and provide analytical, technical and regulation information to trucking industry representatives, owner/operators, and the Washington State Patrol (WSP) Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers that are relative to vehicle credentials and safety compliance.
