Construction Project Manager

The Role  This role is remote, with 50% travel to the states we have cultivation/production facilities, primarily travel will be in mid-west and east coast but could be in any of the 14 states we operate.  GTI just keeps growing and growing! We’re seeking a logistical genius and construction management guru to oversee CPG construction projects.  As a Construction Project Manager for GTI CPG, you will be responsible for serving as the liaison between GTI HQ and our Cultivation/Processing Facility build-outs in the field ensuring scope of work is executed, quality of brand is maintained, timelines are beat, and budgets are always in the green! You should have off the charts communication skills to work with sub-contractors/vendors and your teammates alike. As a proven Construction PM, you have managed 20+ projects at a time working across a national landscape.  Responsibilities  Cultivation Facility Construction (Primary Focus)  Lead full lifecycle cultivation construction from feasibility through commissioning and turnover  Oversee build-outs including:  Flower rooms  Vegetative and propagation rooms  Mother plant rooms  Drying and curing rooms  Irrigation and fertigation systems  Trim and post-harvest processing areas  Coordinate high-performance HVACD systems designed for:  Precise temperature and humidity control  Vapor pressure deficit (VPD) optimization  Airflow uniformity and disease mitigation  Manage installation of:  Dehumidification systems  Chilled water systems  CO₂ distribution systems  Environmental control automation  High-capacity electrical infrastructure  Coordinate lighting systems (LED/HPS) and energy load planning  Ensure building envelope performance supports environmental control goals  Partner with cultivation leadership to align facility design with yield and operational targets  Lead commissioning and environmental system balancing prior to operational handoff    Manufacturing Facilities (Secondary Focus)  Support construction of:  Commercial kitchens  Infusion and formulation labs  Packaging and labeling lines  Vault and storage spaces  Coordinate sanitary design and regulated production environments  Oversee MEP and process utility coordination    Extraction Facilities (Secondary Focus)  Support build-outs of:  Hydrocarbon, ethanol, CO₂, and solventless extraction labs  Post-processing and refinement areas  Coordinate hazardous location construction (C1D1 / C1D2)  Ensure compliance with fire code, NFPA, and AHJ requirements    Core Project Management Responsibilities  Direct all phases of construction management:  Site due diligence and feasibility analysis  Budget development and cost control  Schedule creation and critical path management  Design coordination with architects and engineers  Contractor oversight and field execution  Commissioning and close-out documentation  Develop resource-loaded critical path schedules  Manage capital budgets and cashflow forecasting  Track performance across cost, schedule, scope, and quality  Serve as single point of contact between HQ, site leadership, engineers, contractors, landlords, and regulators  Maintain strict adherence to corporate safety, quality, and community standards    Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, preferred 5+ years of project management experience, preferred Experience with the following is preferred:  Controlled Environmental Agriculture (CEA)  Greenhouse or indoor grow facilities  High-capacity HVAC and mechanical systems  Industrial electrical distribution systems  Experience managing multi-site, multi-state expansion programs  Strong understanding of environmental controls and agricultural infrastructure preferred    Technical Skills  Proficient in construction management software such as:  Primavera P6  Procore  Timberline  PlanGrid (or similar)  Advanced Microsoft Project and Excel (budget tracking, forecasting, modeling)  Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, irrigation, and environmental control drawings  Experience coordinating large mechanical subcontractors and specialty vendors    Professional Attributes  Highly analytical and systems-oriented  Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities  Comfortable managing 15–20+ concurrent projects nationally  Effective communicator across operations, engineering, compliance, and executive leadership  Operates with professionalism and integrity  Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments  Additional Requirements  Must pass all required background checks  Must remain compliant with all applicable state and company regulations  Flexible schedule required, including occasional evenings/weekends during critical project phases  Willingness to travel nationally as required  The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. Green Thumb Pay Range $90,000—$120,000 USD Apply To This Job
