About MangoErrands
MangoErrands connects the Jamaican diaspora with local merchants in Jamaica to send money to purchase groceries, school fees, and other things for family back home. We have senders in the US, Canada, and UK, and vendors across Jamaica.
We are a US-based company with operations in Jamaica. We need a CPA to establish our accounting principles, tax framework, and financial systems — not to run day-to-day books.
This is a project-based engagement (not ongoing).
The Role
We are hiring a CPA (US-based, with cross-border experience) to design our accounting system and set up our tax compliance framework. You will work with the Founder to deliver a clear system, which the team will run day-to-day using the system you build.
Why This Role Exists
We move money from senders to vendors. That creates trust accounting, cross-currency, and cross-border tax complexity. We need a CPA to:
Tell us what we don't know we don't know
Set up the structure so we don't make expensive mistakes
Give us a system we can run ourselves
We do not need ongoing bookkeeping. We need a system.
