Job description: Job Description:We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. As part of a non-profit organization, this position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate processing and management of data and correspondence. This is a Contract-to-long-term opportunity, offering the chance to transition into an ongoing role.Responsibilities:
- Review scanned documents, assign appropriate document type statuses, create new claims when necessary, and update relevant information within the iVOS system within 48 hours of receipt.
- Accurately process document type queues, including expense bills, NF2 forms, police reports, and litigation, ensuring completion within three business days.
- Provide support to Claims Examiners by addressing data entry inquiries and making necessary corrections.
- Process incoming mail promptly, ensuring it is opened, date-stamped, sorted, and distributed within four hours of receipt.
- Prepare outgoing mail by weighing, applying postage, and handling correspondence, including system entry, report generation, and tracking follow-ups.
- Maintain flexibility to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Perform all duties independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic PC software.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in data entry or a similar role.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Expected salary: $17 - 19 per hour
