Position Summary
The Development / Grant Writing Lead manages Core Community Blueprint’s proposal pipeline, funder research, grant narratives, letters of inquiry, application attachments, renewal proposals, and funder-facing materials. This role helps turn CCB’s statewide programs into clear, persuasive, compliant, and fundable proposals while supporting the CEO’s relationship-driven fundraising strategy.
Essential Responsibilities
Build and maintain a funder pipeline aligned with CCB’s program areas, regional footprint, organizational stage, and revenue needs.
Write and edit letters of inquiry, grant proposals, concept papers, need statements, program narratives, budgets narratives, and funder-ready attachments.
Coordinate with program, finance, data, communications, and executive leadership to gather accurate information for applications.
Maintain reusable proposal language, organizational background, program descriptions, outcome frameworks, demographic data, and attachment libraries.
Support the CEO in preparing for funder meetings, site visits, presentations, follow-up emails, and stewardship communications.
Work with Grants & Compliance Manager to ensure proposals are realistic, deliverables are trackable, and commitments can be reported accurately.
Assist with annual fundraising planning, prospect research, corporate partnership proposals, donor appeals, and sponsorship packages as needed.
Track proposal deadlines, submission status, award status, decline feedback, renewal opportunities, and next-step actions.
Required Qualifications
Five or more years of grant writing, nonprofit development, proposal management, funder research, or fundraising communications experience.
Strong writing ability with experience translating complex programs into clear funder-facing narratives.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines, application portals, attachments, budgets, narratives, and stakeholder inputs.
Understanding of nonprofit fundraising, foundation priorities, grant strategy, outcomes, and sustainability messaging.
Strong editing, research, interviewing, synthesis, and document organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience writing grants for civic engagement, workforce development, family support, economic mobility, STEM, community services, or statewide programs.
Experience with Pennsylvania funders, corporate foundations, community foundations, and government grant opportunities.
Experience producing polished Word documents, budgets, logic models, timelines, and funder attachment packages.
