JOB TITLE: Digital Analytics Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF JOB: This role is ideal for someone who can implement conversion tracking, validate data accuracy, and take ownership of tasks from start to finish.
The Digital Analytics Specialist will support the implementation, validation, and governance of tracking across consumer digital experiences, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Tracking Implementation & Tag Configuration
Implement and validate conversion events, marketing pixels, and tracking tags across digital platforms.
Configure GTM and GA4 tracking to support accurate data collection and reporting.
Ensure implementations align with business requirements and tagging standards.
QA & Data Validation
Perform QA and cross-validation across demo and production environments.
Validate event firing, parameter values, data layer information, pixels, and GA4 reporting behavior.
Document gaps, inconsistencies, and data accuracy issues.
Documentation & Governance
Maintain tracking sheets, pixel inventories, event definitions, and QA notes.
Support governance by following naming conventions, consent-aligned practices, and standards.
Recommend process improvements that support scalable analytics operations.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Insights Support
Partner with UX, Marketing, IT, developers, and external stakeholders on tracking requirements.
Provide access, training, and transparency for self-serve data and reporting.
Support insights that help teams evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS: Note that (i) computer literacy and working-level skill with the basic MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer), (ii) good verbal and written communication skills, (iii) good interpersonal skills, and (iv) the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment are default requirements for all Jostens exempt and salaried nonexempt employees.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
1-2 years of work experience in an analytics-focused role with experience including digital analytics, tracking, or marketing analytics
Experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics (GA4)
Understanding of data layer structure, event tracking, and marketing pixels
Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and think critically in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally at all levels
Willingness to complete a company-sponsored advanced certification in Digital Analytics, Tracking, or a related field.
Preferred:
BS Degree in a quantitative or marketing field (Marketing, Math/Stats, Analytics, Economics, Finance, Data Science or similar)
Experience with analytics tools such as Looker Studio
Experience in Google products such as Google Analytics 360, Big Query, and Data Studio
Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to support documentation, QA, or workflows
