Summary:
The Director of Service (DOS) Imaging Services, reporting directly to the Regional Vice President of Operations, is responsible for implementation and education of the Advanced Imaging service program to client facilities and enterprise-wide responsibilities. Working collaboratively with the Region Vice Presidents, District Service Managers and Account Managers to ensure that all Advanced Imaging equipment and systems are inventoried, properly budgeted and appropriate support plans are in place. Because of the close daily relationship and interaction with the customer facility’s staff, the DOS must have excellent organizational and customer service skills.
What you will do:
The DOS is responsible for support and oversight of the clinical equipment/systems under his/her care. This includes the tracking of hardware (configuration items), software and network documentation
Provides user support, systems technical service and support, and participates in system projects as requested
Serve as consultant / advisor to hospital staff regarding system evaluation and selection
Drive strategic initiatives while leveraging data and analysis to support business decision making. This approach will deliver a standardized and scalable process for Renovo’s Imaging service
Provide assistance with training on software related implementations
Coordinate installation and maintenance of medical devices, PC hardware, networking and software with hospital Information Technology Department
Utilize project management tools to manage and accomplish system implementations, updates and upgrades within established time frames and budget constraints
Work with all managers to improve use of Advanced Imaging equipment & systems
Support inventory control needs. Must accurately track and report all additions, deletions, and changes including accuracy of department inventories and PM schedules
Must work closely with Regional Vice Presidents, District Managers and Renovo Account Managers to keep them informed of account status. This must include PM status, repair status, level and type of special interests and customer concerns and problems
Performs other duties as assigned within business scope and expertise as defined by the Vice President of Regional Operations
Communicates and works closely with RENOVO leadership team regarding account status. This includes scheduled maintenance status, repair status, level and type of special interests and customer concerns and problems
Participates in start-up of new accounts by establishing/conducting:
accurate inventory
pre-existing inspections with review of repair status
appropriate staffing
vendor subcontracts
test and shop equipment required
service transition plans
customer service request protocols
Generates cost avoidance reports and monitors contract pricing efficiency for each account
Generates monthly financial & operational performance reports. Reviews with staff as required
Participates in regular internal program meetings
Works with RENOVO management team in the development of the technical database supporting operations
Serves as a professional liaison between RENOVO and the customer for problem solving and maintaining positive relationships
Personnel Management:
Participates in human resources processes. (Recruiting, Retention, Termination)
Conducts company orientation with newly hired technical staff
Works with local schools and technical programs to develop a potential resource pool
Develops technician competencies through services and personal training
Evaluates technician performance including probationary and annual reviews
Collaborates with on-site senior technicians regarding technical needs and workflow issues
Reviews and approves technician timesheets
Coordinates and maintains staffing at each account
Promotes teamwork within technician teams
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic imaging equipment and underlying principles, along with a solid understanding of general patient care devices, including the ability to effectively operate and explain the use of supported systems
In-depth understanding of clinical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
B.S. Degree in Biomedical or Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in servicing and maintaining medical imaging equipment and successful completion of Basic Level I and Level II Imaging Equipment Service Training through an accredited Independent Training Organization, Original Equipment Manufacturer, or equivalent military program preferred
Specialized in one or more imaging modalities or systems (Ultrasound, Fluoro, CR, DR, Cath, CT, MR) preferred; may be referred to as an expert in one or more supported modalities

Safety Requirements:
Maintain a safe working environment for self and others if they come in contact within the biomed area in accordance with the facility’s policies
Must follow OSHA guidelines in regard to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, radiation, sharp instruments and/or tools, hazardous liquids, and operating devices
Ontime completion of safety trainings assignments.
Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot & cold ranges of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish colors
Must be able be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely
