Our client, a reputable non-profit organization dedicated to community betterment, is seeking a strategic and passionate Director of Philanthropic Engagement to lead their fundraising and donor relations efforts. This vital role will focus on cultivating relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners to secure the financial resources necessary to advance the organization's mission. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned fundraising professional with a proven ability to develop and execute successful development strategies. This position involves a hybrid work arrangement, balancing remote flexibility with essential in-office collaboration in San Antonio, Texas, US .
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and existing donors, building strong, long-term relationships. Write compelling grant proposals, funding requests, and donor reports that effectively communicate the organization's impact and needs. Organize and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and cultivation activities. Collaborate with the executive team, board members, and program staff to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals. Research potential funding sources and stay informed about philanthropic trends and best practices. Maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising progress using CRM software. Develop and manage the annual fundraising budget and forecast revenue. Supervise and mentor development staff, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team environment. Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and meetings to build visibility and cultivate support. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Non-profit Management, Philanthropy, Marketing, or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in non-profit fundraising, with a strong track record in major gifts, corporate giving, and foundation relations. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies and campaigns. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and compelling narratives. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, board members, and community leaders. Experience with donor management software (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce). Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of ethical fundraising principles and practices. Strategic thinker with a passion for the organization's mission. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work model. This role is based in San Antonio, Texas, US , requiring regular presence in the office for team collaboration and donor engagement activities, complemented by remote work flexibility.
