Role Overview We’re hiring a fully-remote Director‑level UHNW Tax Specialist to join PCM Tax, LLC, our in‑house practice supporting our wealth and private investment teams. This role serves ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals and families, typically with total net worths between $50M - $100M+, occasionally in the billions. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role owning complex UHNW financials end‑to‑end — including multi‑entity structures, tax strategy and compliance, and work across trusts, partnerships, and investment vehicles. This individual will help build out our in‑house UHNW Tax platform as we bring select relationships fully in‑house. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes UHNW tax — a career tax professional with deep exposure to complex individual clients who prefers to stay on the tax/advisory side. Ideal candidates are at (or near) Senior Tax Manager level with strong technical judgment, discretion, and ownership. Requirements • Lead client onboarding and relationship management for high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience and alignment with overall wealth strategies. • Drive advanced tax planning and advisory initiatives, partnering with leadership to design, implement, and communicate sophisticated, tax-optimized strategies. • Oversee end-to-end tax compliance operations, including review and filing of complex individual, trust, entity, and estate returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory adherence. • Serve as a senior tax advisor and cross-functional partner, collaborating with wealth advisors, investment teams, and external professionals to integrate tax strategy into holistic planning. • Lead tax function operations and team development, including mentoring staff, managing capacity, and implementing scalable processes, best practices, and technology soluti • ons.Manage ongoing client engagements and deliverables, proactively identifying opportunities and risks, participating in client discussions, and ensuring execution excellence across all tax-related services. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field (Master's in Taxation, JD, or LL.M. preferred). • CPA or EA required. • 8–15 years of experience in public accounting, family office, or wealth management tax advisory and compliance. • Strong expertise in HNW/UHNW taxation, trusts, estates, and pass-through entities. • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience. • Strong client-facing and communication skills.
