**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Evening Specimen Processor - Data Entry - Part-Time to join our team in West Houston, TX. This part-time role (25 hours) will be working during the third shift, and you will play a vital part in the patient care process by ensuring laboratory specimens are properly received and routed for testing. Your attention to detail, typing proficiency, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an excellent fit for this role.
**Key Responsibilities**
As an Evening Specimen Processor - Data Entry - Part-Time, your key responsibilities will include:
- **Performing a vital part of the patient care process**: Ensure laboratory specimens are properly received and routed for testing, maintaining the highest level of quality and accuracy.
- **Data entry and quality control**: Accurately enter lab requests, double-check test orders, and recognize when corrective action is needed to maintain the highest level of quality and accuracy.
- **Working in a laboratory environment**: Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- **Championing safety, compliance, and quality control**: Ensure a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all regulatory requirements and arenaflex's quality control standards.
- **Helping patients without being face-to-face**: Provide exceptional patient care through accurate and timely data entry, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- **High School Diploma or equivalent**: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
- **Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills**: Excellent reading, writing, and analytical skills are essential for this role, as you will be working with laboratory specimens and data entry.
- **Typing proficiency, including 10-key**: Proficiency in typing, including 10-key, is required for this role, as you will be entering data and performing other tasks that require typing.
- **Ability to work in a fast-paced environment**: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential for this role, as you will be working in a laboratory setting with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
**Preferred Qualifications**
