**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining advanced analytics solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decision making. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with finance, engineering, and leadership teams to develop strategic reports, design user interfaces, and drive projects that support our business goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Scope, design, and build database structure and schema to enable arenaflex teams to self-serve
* Create data pipelines using extract, transform, and load (ETL) connections/SQL queries to bring new attributes into the arenaflex master database
* Retrieve and analyze data using a broad set of arenaflex data technologies and resources
* Pull data on an ad-hoc basis using SQL queries
* Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, dashboards, and analyses to enable our team to focus on solving ambiguous problems
* Conduct deep dives to identify root causes of pain points and opportunities for improvement
* Work closely with Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) teams to ensure arenaflex uses globally standard metrics and definitions
* Collaborate with finance and business partners to gather data and metrics requirements

**Basic Qualifications**
* 5+ years of SQL experience
* 7+ years of professional or military experience
* Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
* Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
* Experience with AWS technologies
* Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
* Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
* Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
* Strong understanding of business operations and customer profiles
* Experience with data visualization tools and technologies
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services
