**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for:
* Greeting and providing an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers
* Responding to customer requests and complaints in a timely and courteous manner
* Utilizing the GREAT customer service and customer recovery model to ensure customer engagement
* Communicating with the management team regarding customer requests and concerns
* Operating the cash register, scanning items, bagging merchandise, and handling different methods of payment
* Maintaining proper cash levels in the register drawer and change machines
* Activating fuel and gift cards and assisting with lottery purchases as needed
* Complying with federal and state laws by requesting personal identification from customers who are purchasing restricted products such as tobacco and/or alcohol
* Stocking and refilling products within the interior and exterior core register area, cold express cases, bakery, and grocery aisles
* Performing customer fuel transactions and monitoring activities at the fuel court
* Stopping fuel pumps if necessary
* Preparing all made-to-order food and/or beverages according to recipe or customer specifications
* Stocking food and beverage areas with products and supplies to ensure in-stock conditions at all times
* Ensuring coffee thermals are filled and working properly
* Ensuring the proper execution of assigned foodservice and beverage programs and procedures
* Completing cleanliness tasks to ensure all food and beverage service areas are free of any residue, debris, and spills
* Following proper coding procedures, checking expiration codes, facing, and inspecting all items
* Pulling expired items, documenting, and discarding
* Adhering to the execution of established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies, procedures, and practices as outlined in arenaflex's policy manual, training materials, and other publications
* Completing all store housekeeping functions (i.e., cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc.)
* Ensuring safe working conditions by maintaining a clean, organized work area in accordance with standards
* Completing other tasks as assigned by store management
**Essential Functions**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to:
* Work well individually as well as in a team environment
* Possess good communication skills
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
* Be able to learn the FSRA process and procedures and demonstrate on a daily basis
* Work overtime as needed
* Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Learn and demonstrate all arenaflex Safety and Quality Assurance processes and procedures
* Perform the following physical behaviors repetitively throughout a shift: standing, walking, handling, reaching horizontally, and grasping firmly
* Perform the following physical behaviors frequently throughout a shift: reaching above the shoulder, reaching below the waist, pushing buttons, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing
* Lift and carry up to 35 lbs
* Work safely with equipment that can create and hold very high temperatures using appropriate personal protective equipment
* Be at least 16 years old
* Have reliable transportation
* Wear slip-resistant shoes at all times
* Tolerate exposure to cleaning products
**Basic Qualifications**
* Pursuit of or high school diploma or equivalent, preferred
* Prior food service and/or customer service experience preferred
