As an Experienced Customer Service Representative - APPRAISER, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our customers. **Key Responsibilities:** As an Experienced Customer Service Representative - APPRAISER, you will be responsible for: * Providing information orally, written, and in person to internal and external customers regarding all aspects of the arenaflex Appraiser's Office processes, procedures, and data. * Responding factually and efficiently to the needs of customers, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of inquiries and issues. * Assisting property owners and/or their representatives with preparation of information for the appeals process, including Individual Personal Property Accounts, Business Property Accounts, Appraised Valuation Appeal Forms, and Real Estate Accounts. * Working with departments/divisions to reconcile any changes, questions, inequities, and production needs, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. * Researching and preparing Change Orders for Personal Property Accounts and Real Estate Accounts, as well as assisting with research of property valuation history and navigation of the Appraiser's Office website. * Assisting organizations and customers with completing the necessary paperwork for consideration of exemption from ad valorem taxation, including entering and updating exemption application information into the Exemption Database. * Preparing exemption applications for field inspection, processing BOTA Orders, and making necessary changes in Orion and Aumentum System. * Reducing or removing penalties based on PVD directives and guidelines, office policies and procedures, and pro-rating or removing taxable value based on PVD directives and guidelines, office policies and procedures. * Assisting and processing tax grievance applications, including researching and preparing Change Orders for Tangible Individual Personal Property Accounts, Tangible Business Property Accounts, and Real Estate Accounts. * Discovering, listing, and valuing personal and business property assets, as well as researching and correcting discrepancies. **Essential Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent. * One year of customer service experience in a professional office setting or administrative support. * Successful completion of the following courses within three years of hire date: + International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) Course 101 Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal. + Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). + Kansas Property Tax Law. + Kansas Personal Property Valuation and Assessment. + Orion Introduction and Overview of Basic Functionality. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Two years of mass appraisal experience. * Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. * One or more of the following professional designations: + Registered Mass Appraiser (RMA). + Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE). + Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES). + Mass Appraisal Specialist (MAS). + Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS). **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and provide accurate information. * Proficiency in Orion and Aumentum System, as well as other relevant software and technology. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and files. * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive and professional attitude. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** As an Experienced Customer Service Representative - APPRAISER at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to: * Develop your skills and knowledge in mass appraisal, customer service, and communication. * Work with a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional services. * Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, including courses and workshops. * Collaborate with departments/divisions to resolve complex issues and improve processes. * Contribute to the growth and success of arenaflex, while making a positive impact on our community. **Work Environment and Company Culture:** arenaflex is committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
