Our mission is to deliver exceptional customer experiences, build strong relationships with our community, and drive business success through our values of integrity, respect, and excellence. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Representative (Cashier), you'll be responsible for: * Providing exceptional customer service, representing arenaflex in a positive manner, and promoting our business through excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Accurately transacting sales of fuel and merchandise, handling cash and operating a computer-based cash register * Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and procedures * Balancing cash register at the end of shift, securing funds in safe or register, and making timely drops * Performing daily station cleaning, restocking shelves, and refilling dispensing machines * Ensuring security of store items, taking reasonable precautions to protect company assets, and maintaining a safe work environment * Courteous and professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and community at large * Neat appearance and good personal hygiene in compliance with company image standards * Preserving the safety of self, fellow employees, and all others in the work location * Conducting all transactions and register duties accurately, quickly, and in accordance with company guidelines and procedures * Performing daily station responsibilities, including cleaning duties inside and outside, preparing quality food products, and stocking merchandise * Interacting and communicating effectively and productively with others * Providing regular and predictable attendance * Supporting Store Manager as directed * Observing and complying with all company safety policies and procedures **Other Job Responsibilities** * Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or arenaflex management **Minimum Qualifications** * Must be at least 19 years of age to sell tobacco products * High school diploma or equivalent * Cash handling and customer service experience **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required** * Knowledge of retail operations * Knowledge of merchandising procedures * Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel * Demonstrated customer service skills * Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written * Ability to read, write, and speak English * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure * Ability to deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists **Education** * High school diploma or equivalent (1 year of directly related work experience may qualify to substitute 1 year of education to meet the education requirement) **Required Training & Certificates** * Training for Alcohol Processionals (TAP) * Food Handlers Card / Food Workers Card * Attends training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes required by department * Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications **Physical Demand/Work Environment** The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually quite to moderate and may be loud on occasion. Work is usually done in a convenience store setting and sometimes out-of-doors, sometimes in extreme weather conditions, requiring the use of personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to; a reflective vest, steel-toed boots, safety glasses with side shields, and mandatory hearing protection. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and equipment.
