Located on the Science and Technology campus in Prince William county, our state-of-the-art facility features a 50-meter competition pool, leisure pool, whirlpool, locker facilities, gymnasium, cardiovascular and strength training equipment, group fitness studios, and more.
**About the Position**
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the face of our organization, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences to our members and guests. You'll be the primary point of contact for membership and program registration requests, scheduling classes and swim-lane reservations, and on-site childcare scheduling/check-in. You'll also be familiar with and communicate effectively about every other department and function at the Freedom Center, directing members and guests to those who can answer their questions more completely.
**Responsibilities**
* Greet and check-in members, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience
* Process membership and program registration requests, scheduling classes and swim-lane reservations
* Schedule on-site childcare and provide check-in services
* Communicate effectively with members and guests, directing them to relevant departments and functions
* Maintain knowledge of all departments and functions at the Freedom Center, ensuring seamless customer experiences
* Provide exceptional customer service, responding to member inquiries and resolving issues promptly
* Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance customer service skills
**Required Qualifications**
* Previous customer service, cash-handling, and computer/database experience
* Effective verbal and listening skills, with the ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with a diverse community population
* Ability to act with tact and courtesy, even in challenging situations
* Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritizing multiple responsibilities and deadlines
* Ability to work up to the University-mandated ceiling of 29 hours per week, with flexibility to work alternating weekend shifts
* Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Previous sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
