**Why You'll Love This Role**
As a key member of our Payments and Digital Strategy team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our payment systems, resolving customer inquiries, and collaborating with various departments to achieve our goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Complete daily tasks related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
* Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
* Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
* Work on member cases/assignments and follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with NACHA regulations and federal banking laws
* Process mortgage payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff transactions
* Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
* Log, review, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
* Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
* Complete daily balancing and department closing
* Obtain information from contributors for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
* Research and verify incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
* Communicate with vendors to process budget transfers
* Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
* Deposit check returns, review member draft changes, process member checks, verify contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
* Complete daily processing of workflows related to overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
**What You'll Need for Success**
* High school degree or GED
* Intermediate Excel and Word experience
* Previous customer/member service experience
* Previous banking or Credit Union experience
* Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
* Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience or education and hands-on use of the software
* Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
* Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team
* Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
* Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high volume pressure
* Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
* Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and contributors
* Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
* Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail
* Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
* Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
* Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
