**Job Summary**
As an Experienced Customer Service Specialist - Healthcare, you'll be responsible for ensuring that client-assigned healthcare accounts are billed and paid accurately and timely. You'll work closely with clients, patients, and internal stakeholders to resolve inquiries, provide information, and offer solutions that meet their needs. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Medical Collections: Accurately and efficiently manage medical collections, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
* Responding to Telephone Inquiries: Utilize standard procedures and scripts to respond to inbound and outbound calls, gathering information and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
* Gathering Information and Research: Conduct research and gather information to resolve customer inquiries, providing accurate and timely solutions.
* Communication and Resolution: Communicate options for resolution to customers and patients, assessing their needs and providing solutions that meet their expectations.
* Scheduling and Prioritization: Schedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls, and escalate as required to ensure timely resolution.
* Departmental Goals and Recommendations: Assist in planning and implementing department goals, making recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
**Other Duties**
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including interdepartmental leadership, education and development, patients, client hospital staff, government representatives, insurance company representatives, vendors, compliance, finance, decision support, and contact management.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
* Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
**Requirements**
* Education and Experience:
+ High school diploma or college degree from an accredited college or university.
+ Spanish fluency preferable.
+ Two to five years of industry experience in medical revenue cycle management required.
+ Medical experience, either practical or classroom knowledge, needed.
+ Proven understanding of the medical revenue cycle.
* Skills and Competencies:
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Good attendance record.
+ Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to perform work in alignment with company mission and values.
+ Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications.
* Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
+ Work environment is either remote or an office location.
+ The position requires the dexterity to operate office equipment, such as a personal computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
+ Occasional lifting may be required up to 25 lbs.
+ Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with frequent bending and stooping.
+ Must have current, valid driver's license or reliable transportation to commute to/from work.
