**About the Role**
As a Data Collection Nurse at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of medical record data for our quality programs. This position requires collaboration with our clinical and non-clinical staff, including physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel. You will be responsible for retrieving and reviewing medical records, abstracting relevant data, and entering it into our quality program tools. This role also involves on-site medical record reviews at physician offices or in our office, requiring local travel within the Chattanooga area.
**Responsibilities**
As a Data Collection Nurse at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
* Retrieving, reviewing, and abstracting medical record data for STARS and HEDIS measures
* Entering data into quality program tools with accuracy and attention to detail
* Performing on-site medical record reviews at physician offices or in our office, as needed
* Collaborating with clinical and non-clinical staff regarding provider scheduling and on-site medical record retrieval
* Utilizing time and resources efficiently while performing duties in a professional manner
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
* Active RN or LPN license in the state of Tennessee or a compact state
* Knowledge and experience of HEDIS data abstraction methods are highly preferred, but not required
* Experience in medical record review or data abstraction is also acceptable if you lack HEDIS experience
* Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for local travel
* Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills
* Excellent telephone and communication skills are essential for collaboration with our staff
* Proven working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
**Nice-to-Haves**
While not required, experience with electronic data transfer and use of removable media devices would be beneficial in this role.
