arenaflex's Risk Finance group is responsible for the planning, forecasting, and evaluation of global Loss Provision and Credit Reserves. The group also provides credit-related decision support to Risk Management, local Finance, and business groups on underwriting, customer management, credit, and collections activities. **Key Responsibilities**
As a Director Data Science, you'll lead the Global Data Strategy group and be responsible for:
* **Leading the Strategic Evaluation of arenaflex Credit Metrics**: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of arenaflex credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance. Provide strategic recommendations to drive business growth and success.
* **Ownership of Data Assets and Tools**: Own precise data assets and packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert on the applicable tools. Troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation possibilities, and train other customers to drive adoption.
* **Development and Maintenance of Reports and Analytics**: Develop and maintain preferred and ad-hoc reports used by Risk Finance and/or business partners. Provide credit-related analytical support to drive business decisions.
* **Key Analyses and Recommendations**: Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management, driving business growth and success through data-driven insights.
* **Relationship Building and Collaboration**: Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, and other departments. Foster a collaborative environment to drive business success.
* **Analytics-Driven Decision Support**: Provide decision support with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio, driving business and risk decisions.
**Required Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* **Advanced Experience with Data Science Tools**: A minimum of 5 years of experience working with a combination of the following tools: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1.
* **Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint**: Experience working with a sophisticated level of Excel and PowerPoint required.
* **Machine Learning Modeling**: Experience with machine learning modeling is a plus.
* **Strong Economic and Analytical Skills**: Solid economic and analytical skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and draw significant conclusions, empowering business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions.
* **Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills**: Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills.
* **Results-Driven and Proactive**: Must be results-driven and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines.
* **Ambiguous Task Management**: Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes.
* **Strong Work Ethic and Interpersonal Skills**: A robust work ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals.
* **Master's Degree in Advanced Mathematics or Statistical Discipline**: A Master's degree in advanced mathematics or a statistical discipline required.

**Compensation and Benefits**
The anticipated salary range for this role is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly, plus bonus, equity (if relevant), and benefits. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
