**Job Summary**
As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you will play a critical role in our Incident Response Team, working closely with experts to analyze, mitigate, and recover from digital threats. **Key Responsibilities**
The Network Protection Examiner Understudy will be responsible for:
* Working with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop high-quality technical solutions
* Ensuring solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and compliance with departmental standards
* Managing project timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget
* Serving as a resource to ensure effective communication between business and IT teams
* Participating in system and acceptance testing
* Scope of work may vary depending on the team project
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
* Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity and threat mitigation standards, theories, and practices
* Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm preferred
* Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) preferred
* Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement preferred
* Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program preferred
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders preferred
* Fundamental knowledge of technical environment required
* Openness to Agile philosophies preferred
* Coursework or experience related to network security preferred
* Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines preferred
* Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year preferred
* Experience resolving business issues in a capstone or case competition preferred
* Ability to work in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic
* Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working in a cybersecurity-related field
* Knowledge of threat intelligence, incident response, and security operations
* Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
* Familiarity with cloud security platforms and services
* Experience with security testing and vulnerability assessment
* Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity
