**Job Responsibilities**
As a Data Analyst in the Transportation Analytics crew, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
* **Data Analysis**: Work with large, messy, disparate datasets and perform ad-hoc analyses to provide essential business insights. Create ETLs or strategies that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table.
* **Data Visualization**: Develop data visualization to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges.
* **Collaboration**: Engage with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis and establish credibility. Analyze stakeholder needs and collaborate with them to share relevant information. This includes partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups on data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems.
* **Automation**: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks for reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition).
* **Documentation**: Document your strategies and share your expertise with colleagues. Mentor colleagues as you become a Subject Matter Expert.
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
* **Bachelor's Degree**: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or business administration.
* **SQL Skills**: Excellent SQL skills with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity.
* **Tableau Skills**: Creativity with a user experience basis to enhance impactful Tableau dashboards.
* **Business Operations Fluency**: Ability to recognize and root out business problems. A supply chain background, ideally with transportation experience.
* **Communication Skills**: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
* **Advanced SQL and Tableau Experience**: Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau.
* **E-commerce Operations or Parcel Service Operations Experience**: Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations.
* **Scripting Language Experience**: Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
* **Data Manipulation Tools Experience**: Experience with data manipulation tools such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
