**Job Description:**
As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data solutions that drive business growth, improve customer experiences, and enhance our overall operational efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* **Design and Development of Data Solutions:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. This will involve working with various data sources, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and Big Data platforms.
* **Data Warehousing and ETL Pipelines:** Design and develop scalable data warehousing solutions, including ETL pipelines, to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data lakes and warehouses.
* **Big Data Technologies:** Work with Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and other Big Data technologies to design, develop, and implement data solutions that leverage the power of Big Data analytics.
* **Data Modeling and Architecture:** Collaborate with data modelers and architects to design and develop data models, data warehouses, and data marts that meet the evolving needs of our business.
* **Data Quality and Governance:** Ensure high-quality data by implementing data quality checks, data validation, and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
* **Scrum and Agile Practices:** Participate in Scrum and Agile practices to ensure efficient project delivery, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
**Key Capabilities:**
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies:
* **Solid SQL Skills:** Proficiency in SQL and the ability to write complex queries to extract insights from large datasets.
* **Big Data Experience:** Experience working with Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and other MPP or cloud database technologies.
* **Programming Skills:** Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala, and other languages.
* **Data Integration and ETL:** Experience with data integration toolsets, including Wind current, and the ability to design and develop ETL pipelines.
* **Data Modeling and Architecture:** Strong understanding of data modeling and architecture principles, including data warehousing and data marts.
* **Scrum and Agile Practices:** Familiarity with Scrum and Agile practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
* **Cloud Experience:** Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS (S3, EMR, EC2), and the ability to design and develop cloud-based data solutions.
