**Job Responsibilities**
As a Full Stack Data Scientist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for leading the technical aspects of our data science initiatives. This will involve:
* Identifying and extracting relevant data sources to inform business decisions
* Developing and deploying machine learning models to drive business outcomes
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
* Mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices in data science
* Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and analytics
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Data Source Identification:
+ Understand the requirements and service level agreements for data sources
+ Define and identify the most appropriate data sources for required insights
+ Perform preliminary data quality checks on extracted data
+ Review deliverables from junior team members and provide guidance
* Problem Formulation:
+ Analyze business problems and question assumptions to inform business decisions
+ Identify and recommend solutions to business problems
+ Set data analytics, machine learning, and automation goals and deliverables
+ Quantify business impact and measure effectiveness of solutions
* Analytical Modeling:
+ Select suitable modeling strategies for complex problems with large-scale, multiple structured and unstructured data sets
+ Select and develop variables and features iteratively based on model responses in collaboration with the business
+ Conduct exploratory data analysis activities (e.g., basic statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, statistical inference) on to-be-had data
+ Identify dimensions and design of experiments and create test and research frameworks
+ Interpret data to identify trends and patterns across future data sets
+ Create continuous, online learning models including iterative model enhancements
+ Develop new strategies (e.g., advanced machine learning algorithms, vehicle mobile ML) by leveraging the latest advancements in machine learning, artificial intelligence to train algorithms to use models on new data sets
* Model Deployment & Scaling:
+ Ability to work with MLOps to push ML models to production
+ Continuously log and track model behavior once deployed against described metrics
+ Identify model parameters that may need adjustments based on scale of deployment
* Code Development & Testing:
+ Write code to develop the specified solution and application capabilities by identifying the right programming language and leveraging business, technical, and data requirements
+ Create test cases to learn and validate the proposed solution design
+ Create proofs of concept
+ Test code using the right testing methodology
+ Contribute code documentation, maintain playbooks, and provide timely development updates
* Applied Business Acumen:
+ Evaluate proposed business cases for projects and initiatives
+ Influence business stakeholder decision-making
+ Translate business requirements into strategies, projects, and initiatives and align them to business method and goals and drive the execution of deliverables
+ Build and articulate the business case and go back on investment and grants work that has demonstrable value
+ Challenge business assumptions on subjects related to one's area of expertise
+ Develop new organization-wide approaches and methods to working
+ Teach and train others on best practices
+ Proactively engage in the external network to build arenaflex's brand and research more about business practices
* Model Assessment & Validation:
+ Identify and review model assessment metrics based on analytical requirements
+ Apply appropriate strategies for model testing and tuning to evaluate accuracy, fit, validity, and robustness
+ Ensure testing data is documented and maintained by the team
* Data Visualization and Storyteller:
+ Identify and recommend the most appropriate visualization tools based on context
+ Generate suitable graphical representations of data and model outcomes
+ Understand customer requirements to design suitable data representation for complex data sets and drive User Experience designers and User Interface engineers to build the front-end applications
+ Define application layout based on customer requirements
+ Build compelling stories based on context to combine multiple pieces of data into cohesive insights
+ Present to and impact various audiences using the right frameworks and convey clear messages through deep business and stakeholder knowledge
+ Customize communication style based on stakeholders and leverage relationships to drive behavioral change
+ Guide and mentor junior team members on story types, structures, and strategies based on context
**Requirements**
* Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
* 4+ years of experience in an analytics-related field
* Deep knowledge and experience in machine learning, statistics, data science in general
* Strong programming skills in at least one of Python/R
* Ability to execute projects end-to-end including junior team members
* Implement best practices in ML Ops, coding standards, etc.
* Clearly communicate with business, product, and application partners
* Ability to translate complex algorithm evaluations into easy language
* Ability to present to management including outside clients
