The Role
As a Full Stack Developer at Tesla Government, you will be an integral part of our team, working on a relatively new project with a modern tech stack. You will have the opportunity to work on both front-end and back-end development, collaborating with our agile team that includes daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning, and weekly deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for client-facing websites using a modern microservice architecture.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning, and weekly deployments.
- Work with a diverse tech stack including Java, Python, Typescript, Spring Boot, React, MySQL, and AWS.
- Ensure high-quality code through rigorous testing and validation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in full stack development.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- A Computer Science or related engineering degree from a 4-year university or equivalent work experience.
- Experience writing production code in a team setting.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Java web development, preferably with Spring Boot.
- Experience working with a modern JavaScript framework, preferably React.
- Strong command of TypeScript.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Familiarity working in an IDE such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, NetBeans, and/or Visual Studio Code.
- Microservices or SOA experience to effectively work with our modern microservice architecture.
- Strong Linux (terminal) skills to navigate and manage our development environment.
- Strong SQL skills to effectively interact with our MySQL database.
