As a Java Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and deploying scalable, secure, and efficient systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, application owners, designers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions that exceed expectations. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and deploy complex Java-based systems, including back-end applications, APIs, and microservices * Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs * Work with the team to identify and prioritize technical debt, and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability * Participate in code reviews, ensuring that code is maintainable, efficient, and adheres to arenaflex's coding standards * Develop and maintain technical documentation, including API documentation and system architecture diagrams * Collaborate with the QA team to ensure that systems meet quality and testing standards * Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system availability and respond to production issues * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and arenaflex's technology roadmap **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field * 2+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on back-end systems and APIs * Proficiency in Java 8 and above, including Spring, Hibernate, and Java EE * Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) * Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns * Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field * Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure * Familiarity with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) * Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes * Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption * Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning, including natural language processing and computer vision **Skills and Competencies** * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify areas for improvement * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including design, development, testing, and deployment * Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban * Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns * Familiarity with cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure * Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
