Job Summary:

As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, counseling patients on the effective use of medications, and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services. Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Experience: Engage patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
• Clinical Services: Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, interactions, and disease management. Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, medication therapy management, and medication review.
• Pharmacy Operations: Ensure the pharmacy operates according to guidelines, company policies, and standards. Assist in establishing procedures to enhance workflow efficiency, assign tasks, and seek colleague input.
• Medication Management: Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and company policies.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and respond to their inquiries regarding medication use, disease management, and health promotion. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify medication-related issues.
• Performance Management: Assist in staff training, performance evaluation, and development. Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages colleague growth and engagement.

Essential Qualifications:

• Education: BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Licensure: Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the region.
• Experience: Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant state and federal controlled substance regulations.
• Certification: Certified Immunizer or ability to become certified within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.

Skills and Competencies:

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Clinical Knowledge: Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacy practice, including pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and disease management.
• Organizational: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records.
• Technical: Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology systems.
