Founded in 1901 and headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, arenaflex operates a vast network of retail drugstores, offering a wide range of products, including prescription medications, over-the-counter tablets, health and wellness products, cosmetics, and convenience items. **About the Role** As an Experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Your expertise will be essential in developing and maintaining strong relationships with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist pharmacists in the exercise of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with national, federal, and agency policy * Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and process prescriptions * Model and provide a unique and delightful customer experience * Engage customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products * Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a superb customer experience * Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers * Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy manager, personnel Pharmacist, and store supervisor, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug records, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication accuracy * Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow * Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the quality improvement program * Strictly adhere to the arenaflex Co. Policy regarding accurate dispensing throughout all applicable prescription dispensing activities * Register all related income on assigned cash register, collect and handle coins as required * Take customers to OTC aisle to assist in finding merchandise * Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians * Method (correct and resubmit) claims for third-party application prescription services in a timely and efficient way, and perform other clerical responsibilities as assigned by the store manager * Assist and support Pharmacy department on stock management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of prescription drugs * Keep knowledge of company asset safety procedures, and document claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not obtained), order mistakes or broken goods related to Rx capsules * May assist pharmacist in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required * Assist pharmacy staff in coordination of medical services, arenaflex healthcare clinics, and external vendors * Assist Pharmacy supervisor and personnel Pharmacist in developing and maintaining true relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, through clinical provider detailing and outreach to health agencies, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for reinforcing growth opportunities * Assist with outside and inside maintenance by ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with sufficient supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in appearance and condition * Comply with all company guidelines and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers * Complete unique assignments and other responsibilities as assigned **Education & Personal Development** * Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the unique PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration * Otherwise, earn PTCB certification as a condition of promotion to senior technician * Attend training and complete PPLs asked by manager and acquire continuing education credit * Maintain expertise and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest information and developments * Through completion of the arenaflex pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, experience qualifies for 8 (8) college credit hours as recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE) **Basic Qualifications** * Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) **Preferred Qualifications** * Choose to have six months of experience in retail settings * Choose to have previous work experience with arenaflex * Decide on desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications * Decide on correct computer skills * Decide on knowledge of store inventory management * Prefer PTCB certification **Variety and Inclusion** arenaflex promotes diversity and inclusion within its workforce and has initiatives and employee resource groups to support this mission. **Compensation & Benefits** arenaflex offers a range of benefits to its employees, including: * Aggressive compensation: arenaflex provides competitive salaries and compensation programs based on the role, experience, and location * Health and wellness: comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage options for employees and their families * Prescription savings: employees may obtain discounts on prescription medications and pharmacy services * Retirement Plans: arenaflex offers retirement savings plans, including 401(k) plans, to help employees save for their future * Employee stock buy Plan: Eligible employees may have the option to purchase arenaflex Boots Alliance stock with a discount * Professional development: opportunities for career growth within the company, including training and development programs * Paid time off: paid vacation days, holidays, and sick leave for work-life balance * Education assistance: some employees may have access to tuition reimbursement or education assistance programs * Employee discount: arenaflex employees frequently receive discounts on products offered in arenaflex stores * Health programs: resources and programs to help employee well-being, including health and wellness initiatives * Flexible work arrangements: arenaflex may offer flexible work arrangements, including part-time and full-time positions * Employee assistance program: support programs to help employees with personal and professional challenges **Apply Now** Join arenaflex in its mission to revolutionize patient-centric care and data entry.
