As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in bringing our vision to life. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, test, and refine new products that meet the highest standards of performance, sustainability, and aesthetics. **Key Responsibilities:**
* Collaborate with Modern Design, Projects, and cross-functional design teams to develop innovative product concepts and solutions
* Conceptualize and design new products, considering factors such as manufacturability, usability, and aesthetics
* Create detailed designs, models, and prototypes to test and refine product ideas
* Lead design reviews and contribute to peer design feedback sessions
* Present your work to cross-functional teams and leaders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
* Develop and maintain detailed design specifications and drawings
* Work with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize product design for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and quality
* Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Approve and describe product designs through various iterations
* Foster deep technical expertise by taking products from concept to production
* Ensure that products meet corrective and functional requirements, delivering top-tier equipment to our customers
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field
* Strong foundation in design principles and a passion for innovation
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software
* Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other relevant design methodologies
* Working knowledge of finite element analysis and mathematical tolerancing
* Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
* Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Master's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field
* Experience in product design for consumer electronics or home appliances
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
* Strong understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and human-centered design
* Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques
