Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of nurses in the ICU Step Down Unit (PCU) to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
- Provide guidance and support to nurses in the unit, promoting professional growth and development
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and unit operations
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
Essential Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- BSN preferred
- Minimum of one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care specialty nursing
- One to three years supervisory experience preferred
- BLS (current upon hire)
- Current South Carolina or qualifying compact state nursing license
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and/or specialty course completion in required specialty

- Experience in ICU or PCU settings
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
