We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Outreach Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll play a critical role in promoting our services and providing exceptional support to our clients' patients and plan members.
**Role Overview:**
arenaflex helps hospitals and health plans improve their revenue and deliver community benefits by connecting their patients and plan members with government-funded assistance programs. As a Senior Outreach Specialist, you'll work in a fast-paced contact center environment, screening health plan members to determine eligibility for Social Security benefits and/or supplemental Nutritional Assistance for families in need. You'll utilize our proprietary system tool to gather personal and sensitive information, provide high-level customer service, and assist in the submission of applications for benefits to the appropriate government agency.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Make outbound and receive inbound calls with the intent of promoting arenaflex services (90% phone-based)
* Interview patients/members via phone to gather personal/sensitive information to determine eligibility for various government programs
* Utilize arenaflex's systems to ensure appropriate questions are asked
* Interpret and explain information such as eligibility requirements and application details
* Use probing questions to clarify eligibility data with patients or members
* Compile, record, and evaluate personal and financial data to determine eligibility
* Understand and agree to role-specific information security access and responsibilities
* Ensure safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to arenaflex's information security policies
* Read, understand, and agree to security policies and complete all annual security and compliance training
**Requirements:**
* 2 years of experience in a customer service/call center environment
* Ability to place and receive calls via computer interface
* Excellent phone skills
* Strong data entry skills
* Excellent critical thinking skills
* Ability to manage difficult people
* Ability to be assertive
* Ability to actively listen and show compassion
* Experience working remotely
* Private, quiet office/working space
* Associate's Degree preferred
