We're seeking an experienced Medical Intake and Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Freeport, IL. As a Medical Intake and Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing patient intake information, medical records, and other relevant data. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work accurately and efficiently will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our Utilization Review Department.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collect and process patient intake information, medical records, and other relevant data in a timely and accurate manner
- Review and verify patient information for completeness and accuracy
- Enter data into our electronic health record system, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve any issues or concerns related to patient intake and data entry
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices

**Essential Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, medical records) preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in medical data entry, medical records, or a related field
