With a strong focus on innovation, we're constantly exploring new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead of the curve and meet the evolving needs of our clients. **Job Summary** As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Associate, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Revenue Recovery Department, working closely with a team of registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing specialists to ensure our clients receive the reimbursement they deserve. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and in-office work, offering the perfect blend of flexibility and collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** * Project associate-related duties, including: + Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems + Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits + Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems + Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients + Running and creating reports + Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team + Scanning and indexing of documents * Data entry and medical record management, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements * Collaboration with the revenue recovery team to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and enhance client satisfaction * Providing exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner * Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to arenaflex's policies and procedures regarding patient information and data security **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, or computer science) preferred * 1-2 years of experience in medical record management, data entry, or a related field * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook * Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital patient accounting systems * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a healthcare revenue integrity or billing environment * Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) or a related field * Familiarity with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and ICD-10 * Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) * Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement principles and practices * Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations **Skills and Competencies** * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment * Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to arenaflex's policies and procedures regarding patient information and data security * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook * Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital patient accounting systems **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
