**Key Responsibilities**
As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Revenue Recovery Department. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness
* Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits
* Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems
* Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients
* Running and creating reports to support data analysis and decision-making
* Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team
* Scanning and indexing of documents to ensure efficient and secure storage
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* 1-2 years of experience in medical records management, data entry, or a related field
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with hospital patient accounting systems
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
* Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in revenue recovery or medical records management
