**The Role**
As a Member/Customer Services Advocate, you'll play a starring role in our efforts to provide accurate and responsive service to our members. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional member experiences by being transparent, empathetic, and solution-focused. You'll work directly with members in a fast-paced inbound contact center, providing outstanding service and building trust through open and interactive communication.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional service to every member by building trust and creating sustainable relationships through open and interactive communication
* Apply problem-solving and critical thinking skills to research and communicate solutions in a variety of situations
* Effectively handle member concerns by utilizing available resources to provide accurate information and ensure empathetic resolution, while keeping records of all interactions and changes
* Confidentially handle policy owner information and ensure compliance and communication standards are met
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure thorough and timely resolutions for all members

**Essential Qualifications**
* **Minimum 2 Years Experience**: In a customer service-related position where there is a high value placed on the customer/member experience; insurance/call center experience preferred
* **Basic Mathematical Aptitude**: Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
* **Technical Aptitude**: Experience navigating and operating multiple computer applications and telephone technologies desired
* **Basic Understanding of Life Insurance**: Basic understanding and knowledge of life insurance company operations, policies, and procedures, and knowledge of various insurance products preferred
* **High School Diploma**: Required; some college-level coursework preferred
* **Internet Requirements**: Must possess internet with a minimum speed of 25MB download and 5MB upload and be able to support a VPN
**Preferred Qualifications**
* **Insurance Industry or LOMA Coursework**: Completion of insurance industry or LOMA coursework preferred
* **College-Level Coursework**: Some college-level coursework preferred
