The role involves working closely with an internal team of CVS experts to drive strategic execution of daily operational activities, analyze sales data, and stay up-to-date with market trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to sales and margin objectives in assigned categories
- Analyze critical data and integrate findings and recommendations into Category Plans, including ideal SKU mix, Extracare loyalty program, and special projects
- Drive strategic execution of daily operational activities, such as works off-shelf plans, tracks promotional period, and performs present analysis to make corrective actions if necessary
- Collaborate with an internal team of CVS experts in Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, Marketing, and Store Operations
- Analyze sales records and inventory levels of current stock
- Create and maintain areas of strength for competitive analysis; seek out new competitive opportunities and make recommendations
- Stay current with changes in the market
- Research customer product preferences, supplier costs, and the competitive environment
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Working knowledge of retail math concepts and demonstrated application
- Technical expertise in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; some Access or other database knowledge
- Willingness to travel 5-10%
