**Job Summary**
As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Billing Platform and ensuring the accurate and timely submission of Surplus Lines taxes. This part-time remote position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to contribute to our team's success while enjoying a flexible work arrangement.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Generates and reviews weekly insurance payables reports to identify policies that require filings, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
* Interfaces with Broker Assistants and Brokers to obtain necessary information or forms, following up as needed to ensure timely completion.
* Enters, files, and pays taxes with each state entity according to their requirements, obtaining Surplus Lines Broker signatures and notary signatures as necessary.
* Provides all documentation to accounting assistants for check or ACH issuance for payment of taxes to the states.
* Maintains electronic records of Surplus Lines tax filings and correspondence with state entities, including affidavits, countersignatures, official forms, and accounting backup.
* Generates various Excel reports to support business needs and performance requirements.
* Assists profit center personnel as necessary, providing information and support to ensure seamless operations.
* Performs other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the team.
**Essential Qualifications**
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Strong technical skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both business and technology teammates.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field.
* Experience in data entry, tax compliance, or a related field.
